Before you bring us the machine
Change the needle
A bent or blunt needle, or the wrong type for the fabric, is one of the most common causes of skipped stitches and broken thread.
Rethread the machine
Remove the top thread and thread it again with the presser foot raised, through every guide.
Check the bobbin
Make sure the bobbin is evenly wound and inserted the right way round.
Clear the lint
With the machine switched off, remove the lint around the bobbin area and the feed dogs.
Always follow your machine's manual. If the problem continues, get in touch.
